San Francisco, California, USA - Tri-California Events, Inc. (www.tricalifornia.com), a well known event management company based in Paso Robles, California, successfully timed the 2008 Nike Women's Marathon and Half-Marathon on Sunday, October 19 in San Francisco. Over 16,000 runners finished a course that traversed the scenic San Francisco coast, ending at North Beach near the Golden Gate Bridge.

On Sunday, October 26th, 2008 in Portsmouth England, the IPICO Sports system was used very successfully to time The Great South Run, one of the series of major events from Nova International. In very wet and windy conditions there were 11,680 finishers in the 10 Mile Race, 961 finishers in the Tesco Junior Great South Run.
