For multisports events, such as Triathlon, it is critical to time participants accurately and provide them with times at transitions. For the safety reason, identifying participants entering each stage is of importance for the event organizer.

Variables to consider:

• Total number of participants or number of participants in starting stage/ wave
• Width of the entrance/exit to the transition zone
