Ipico Sports Signs Letter Of Understanding With Lynx System Developers
Companies will integrate and co-market joint solutions globally
Peoria, Ill.—IPICO Sports has completed an agreement with Lynx System Developers to provide integrated Radio Frequency Identification and Digital Data Capture solutions to the global markets of active sports and wellness.
IPICO Sports' next generation tracking and timing solutions continue to gain market acceptance across the world. Since an initial market introduction in March 2007, IPICO Sports (www.ipicosports.com) has shipped to 16 different countries, and more than 750,000 individuals have been timed by an IPICO Sports system.
"Our engineers have been evaluating Radio Frequency Identification Systems for over 10 years with hopes of creating an integrated solution for mass finish events that incorporates our FinishLynx digital photofinish and timing system," said Lynx CEO Ed Evansen. "The IPICO Sports systems are the first we've found that are both affordable and tailor-made for the application of sports timing. The fact that our customers could own all of the technology was also a key consideration in our decision."
Lynx put the IPICO Sports systems through seven months of extensive tests and concluded its dual frequency data capture solutions meet their exacting demands. I believe our ability to provide integrated solutions into several key channels will further benefit the participants at all levels of training and competition."
