IPICO Sports to be official timing system vendor for Road Runners Club of America
Arlington, Va. –– The Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), the world's largest association of long distance running clubs and events, has partnered with IPICO Sports, which will become the official timing system vendor for the RRCA.
The primary goal of the partnership is promote IPICO Sports' timing systems, which are designed specifically for running clubs, events of all sizes, and training activities. IPICO Sports will work with the RRCA to develop new services for running clubs and events.
"IPICO Sports is leading the way to bring to clubs and events the innovative timing technology that fits their budget," explains Jean Knaack, RRCA executive director. "Many clubs forego the benefit of timing an event because timing systems have been out of their budget reach. We believe IPICO Sports brings real solutions to organizations that host smaller community-based events or club runs. Running clubs and local events have traditionally been overlooked and underserved by timing system vendors, says Philip Lockwood, IPICO Sports founder and chief technical officer.
