May is always a great month at IPICO Sports because we can look back at our history and pick out some very prestigious and key events. While that is true of every month of the year, we'd like to focus on two particular upcoming events that are becoming IPICO Sports perennial favorites, Ironman Brasil 2012 and (at a later date) the BolderBoulder 10K. Latin American customer Silvio Guerra Sports recently timed the Tour of Ecuador and used the newest of our products, the IPICO Sports Bib Tag to do so. The tags were attached to bib numbers worn on the athletes' backs. Ecuadorian news media did a feature on the race. The tags aren't quite visible, but the mats at the finish certainly are.   Though mud runs occur throughout the year internationally, spring is largely the season that sees a host of them held across North America due to the rainy weather and warmer temperatures. RaceMenu, a newer member of the IPICO Sports family recently sent us pictures of their latest mud event. A couple of days ago, after the successful completion of the inaugural Hollywood Half Marathon, we found a great picture of the event's custom tag. Participants in the event were very excited about the race's use of the IPICO Sports product, so much so that they took to the event's Facebook page to tell the event's organizers (and the world) about what they thought. Ever wonder what it looks like to prepare for an event as massive as the Virgin London Marathon? Here's your chance to get a peek inside the preparations that IPICO Sports' own Larry Hicks is working on. Congratulations to Flash Results! The United States Olympic Committee recently selected Flash Results as the Official Timing Provider for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials Marathons.  Flash Results, an IPICO Sports customer since 2009, will deploy IPICO Sports Elite Reader Systems at each 5 kilometer location throughout the multi-loop marathon course.  They will utilize the Finish Lynx/IPICO Sports Triad solution at the Finish Line to verify all Olympic Trials Finishers.  Flash Results is responsible for streaming data in real-time to the NBC’s Television Graphics System, the Commentator Information Systems, and to the Internet.  IPICO Sports will provide Custom Tags for the event.
